About Ana Sever
Ana Sever holds a Bachelor of Nursing degree and has specialised in nutrition and dietetics, with a focus on human health and the prevention of lifestyle-related disease. Her lifelong interest in the connection between diet, wellbeing, and longevity has shaped both her personal philosophy and her professional path. Ana also holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) and a Bachelor of Commerce/Arts from the University of Auckland, along with a Postgraduate Certificate in Management (Distinction) from the Macquarie Graduate School of Management in Sydney.
During a 20-year leadership career across leading New Zealand and global technology and services organisations, Ana held senior leadership roles in strategy, partner ecosystems, and business transformation, including work with AWS, Oracle, Datacom and Jade Software. This experience deepened her understanding of innovation, systems thinking and data-driven insight. Today, she brings that background to the evolving intersection of health, technology and longevity science, with a growing focus on wearable health technologies and digital wellness solutions.
Ana is particularly interested in how continuous glucose monitoring (CGM), biometric wearables and personalised data analytics can empower individuals to take earlier, more informed action in their wellbeing. She believes that integrating real-time metabolic feedback with nutritional and lifestyle interventions represents the next frontier in preventive health – one that connects clinical insight, technology and human behaviour to deliver meaningful, measurable change in everyday life.
She draws inspiration from a new wave of metabolic-health innovators who combine science, technology, and human insight to help people understand their bodies in real time. Ana shares their vision for a future where personalised data and tools such as CGMs make prevention intuitive, measurable and accessible, turning complex information into simple, confident decisions about food, movement, stress and sleep.
Alongside her corporate work, Ana continued to expand her health knowledge through ongoing education, completing advanced study with PreKure and Stanford University Online, and participating in numerous conferences and seminars in nutrition, metabolic health, and functional medicine. Her corporate career also reflected a strong commitment to purpose, contributing to community initiatives such as Eat My Lunch, Ronald McDonald House, and youth leadership programmes. Ana is an alumna of Global Women New Zealand and a member of the Australasian College of Nutritional and Environmental Medicine (ACNEM) and the Institute of Directors NZ.
In the wake of her mother’s illness, Meditrina Health was conceived as a way to bring together Ana’s long-standing passion for nutrition, health and illness prevention. As her mother’s health began to deteriorate for what was then an unknown reason, Ana began actively synthesising her knowledge, research, entrepreneurial experience and study of holistic health into practical action – guided by the belief that food can act as medicine and that prevention, whenever possible, is more powerful than cure.
In 2023, Ana made the decision to step away from her corporate career to care for her mother, who was diagnosed too late with stage 4 colon and liver cancer. She passed peacefully at home in January 2025, in Ana’s arms, after a courageous journey through her illness.
That profoundly personal experience – walking beside her mother through a journey defined by love, faith, joy, dignity and compassion – reshaped Ana’s understanding of what it means to live fully, to love deeply and to grieve with grace. It became the true catalyst for change.
Ana’s mother, whose fearless faith and joyful approach to life touched everyone around her, continues to guide and inspire her, shaping both her purpose and her path.
Motivated to help others take charge of their health, Ana founded Meditrina Health, trading as Windback.co.nz, transforming her passion for proactive, whole-person wellbeing into a new mission. Through her work, writing and community engagement, she is focused on how science, nutrition and emerging health technologies can work together in everyday life to support healthier futures.
She is particularly passionate about extending the healthspan – not just the lifespan – and helping people rethink how they nourish, move and care for their bodies. As a health advocate and writer, Ana combines scientific insight, real-world technology experience and practical compassion to inspire others to live with vitality, purpose and joy – and to create a life worth living.
