Mitchell's Nutrition Digest Well Botanical Tea promotes proper digestion and support the liver with Digest Well, a blend of herbs traditionally used for liver support and digestive health.
Ideal for enjoying in the morning to gently awaken and stimulate digestion and detoxification, as well as before or after meals.
Mitchell's Nutrition teas are formulated by their in-house Naturopath and Medical Herbalist and blended right here in New Zealand.
Dandelion Root
Traditionally used for its bitter properties to support digestion and liver function. Dandelion may be used to subtly stimulate digestion and support healthy liver and gallbladder function.
Peppermint
Not only used for its fresh flavour, peppermint assists to cool and calm the gastrointestinal and nervous systems. It may help to relieve achey or crampy tummies, nausea, and indigestion.
Cinnamon
Not just a delicious, warming note, cinnamon promotes healthy digestion, gently stimulates circulation, and can help relieve digestive discomfort.
Ginger Root
With its warming properties, ginger can help reduce bloating and nausea, and soothe an upset stomach. Ginger Root is known to assist the actions of other herbs when included in a blend.
Fennel
A wonderful aid for digestion, as a carminative, fennel can help to relax the muscles of the digestive tract and relieve symptoms of bloating, cramping, flatulence and indigestion.
Milk Thistle
The liver is constantly regenerating itself, but milk thistle lends a helping hand. A well-known liver tonic and protector. Great for before and after alcohol consumption!
Globe Artichoke
Globe artichoke has bitter and cooling properties and acts to gently stimulate the liver and gallbladder to promote proper digestion.
Vanilla
We added vanilla mostly for another soft and delicious layer of flavour, but also for its antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties.
Blue Cornflower
Spot the vibrant blue in our blends, this is beautiful blue cornflower. As a gentle bitter tonic with anti-inflammatory properties, blue cornflower can help to stimulate and improve digestion.
Serving Instructions
Steep & Serve:
Use 1-2 tsp. per 250ml cup.
Place in a teapot or strainer and infuse for 5-15 minutes, depending on preferred taste.
Enjoy 1-3 times daily, hot or cold.
Slow & Strong:
Use 2-3tsp. per 250ml cup.
Place in a teapot or jar and infuse for 6-8 hours or overnight.
Strain and keep in the fridge for 48 hours.
Enjoy cold or top up with hot water.
Tip: For maximum benefits, cover your tea while it brews!
